NASSER, Monica D. – of Flint, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 5, 2024 at St. Charles And Helena Catholic Church in Clio, Michigan. Rev Fr. Kenneth Coughlin and Rev. Fr. Seamus Kettner officiating. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan and on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of mass at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
Monica was born in Flint, Michigan to Rudolph and Lorraine (Wittbrodt) Nasser. She grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Powers Catholic High School. Monica worked for GM as a Production Worker at the V-8 Engine Plant with 20 years of service. She was also a day care provider for several years and loved all the children she took care of. Monica was a member of the UAW Local 599. She loved children, animals and had a special gift interacting with special needs children. Monica was very social and enjoyed being with her friends and family. She loved going to concerts, shows, and singing karaoke. Monica was a talented musician and won many singing contests.
Surviving are: Father, Rudolph (Joan) Nasser; Sisters, Susan (Jim) Bierman, Lorie (Jeff) Smith, Julie (Bob) Perkins; Nieces and Nephews, Ryan Lorraine, Kayley (Chris) Young, Sabrina (Justin) Milne, Krysten (Fiance’,Logan) Perkins, Jennifer (Matt) Riedel; Great Nephew, Greycen Young,; Great Niece, Addilyn Young; and many dear friends.
