Sharon Kay Richards of Davison, age 79, died Tuesday July 14, 2020 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Monday July 20, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant, burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Due to CDC Guidelines, social distancing and limited gathering at one time, the family understands those who may or may not join them and they respect their decisions. Sharon will lie in state from 11:00 am Monday at the church until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in her memory to the Church Memorial fund.
Sharon was born in Flint Michigan on May 18, 1941 the daughter of the late William & Doris (Leighton) Blevins and has resided in the Davison area since 1962. She was joined in marriage to Richard Richards on November 24, 1962 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Sharon was a member of St. John Evangelist Catholic Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory husband Richard, children: Christopher (Lisa) Richards, Todd (Kirstin) Richards, Darlene (Brian) Riley, and Paula (Ted) Simpson. She also leaves her loving grandchildren: Tabbetha (Matt), Sara (Rachel), Megan (Ryan), Josslyn, Jessica, Bailey, and great grandchildren; Ayden, Landon, and Hayley. Also many extended family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Ascension Hospice for their care and compassion.
