MINZEY, Gary A. – Of Flint, age 67, died Monday, November 30, 2015 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 12 Noon, Friday, December 4, at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2051 West Maple Avenue, Flint, 48507
Rev. Paul M. Boerger officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Visitation 5-8pm Wednesday and 1-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 11m Friday at the church until the time of the service.
Gary was born in Traverse City, MI on September 3, 1948, the son of the late Gary E. and Charlotte Minzey. He married Pearlie Booker on December 21, 1974 and she preceded him in death on September 19, 2008. Mr. Minzey was a member of Lamb of God Church. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Gary loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing poker and enjoyed his cars.
Surviving are two daughters, Dawn Minzey and Michelle (Earnest) Smith;
grandchildren; Jalen, Mustafa, Amena, Annette, Makaalah, Erynn, and Joelle;
brother, Johnny;
two sisters, Cathy (Daniel) Burt and Debby (Mike) Blom;
many nieces and nephews;
and his dog, Sarge.
