Donna Freeland, age 84 of North Branch passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Villages of Lapeer.
Donna was born August 29, 1939 in North Branch to the late Leslie and Norma (Baker) Smith. She grew up in Silverwood. Donna married William Freeland on June 9, 1956 and he preceded her in death on July 20, 2014. She was a homemaker and bartended at Scooter’s. Donna was a member of the Eagles #4099 in Mayville. She was also a member of a pool and bowling league and competed in tournaments. Donna loved bingo, ceramics, painting and traveling all over the United States. She was a friend to many.
Donna is survived by her four sons, William L. (Donna) Freeland of North Branch, David R. (Arlene) Freeland of Flint, Timothy L. (Sherry) Freeland of Mayville and Steve M. Freeland of North Branch; four sisters, Marilyn (Bill) Humphreys of Arizona, Elsie Sheets of North Carolina, Faye (Bob) Edmonds of Davison and Bettie Titmus of Davison; one brother, Eugene Mardlin of Tuscola; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leslie L. Smith, Junior and Don Smith; and one grandson, Justin P. Freeland.
The family will receive visitors from 3-7 PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 and from 12 Noon-1 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Avram Funeral Home in Mayville.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Avram Funeral Home in Mayville with Pastor Ron Hutchinson officiating.
Memorials may be made to the veteran’s organization of choice.
