TREE, Ruth E. – of Tawas City, age 97, went peacefully home to be with the Lord, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in June in Tawas/East Tawas with a date to be determined. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lupus Foundation of America.
Ruth was born April 26, 1921 in Tawas, Michigan to the late Roy and Louesia (Anschuetz) Clark. On September 12, 1942 she married Roy Dean Tree. Ruth was known for her love of family, her great strength in all matters and spunky attitude. She was a humble fighter right up to the end and leaves a legacy of perseverance, hard work and the love of taking care of others. Ruth loved traveling with friends to places all over the US, being outside, playing cards with her 59ers group, and just being with family. She was a lifelong member of Tawas United Methodist Church. Prior to her retirement, she worked for North Eastern Shopper for several years. Ruth served as a volunteer hairdresser for many years at the Tawas Medical Facility.
Surviving are; Grandchildren, Stephanie (Brian) Nelson, Sara (Phil) Nelson; Great Grandchildren, Kayla (Kyle) Nelson, Kerrigan Nelson, Tiyler Gibson, Nicole Woodall, Tate Jewell, Bruce David Grandy; Nephew, Gary “Mike” (Mary) Clark; Great Niece and Nephew, Christi Clark, Sean Clark. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Dean Tree; Children, John Tree, Karen Wojahn; Granddaughter, Heather Wojahn; Brother, Dick Clark.
