Forward, Ms. Ellen M. age-51 passed away Tuesday October 25, 2016 at Crestmont Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday November 5, 2016 from the Reaching the World Ministries International 6815 Verdun St. Dr. Skeeter D. Holmes officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery G-4413 Flushing Rd. Family and friends will assemble at the church 1:30pm Saturday. Ms. Forward will repose in the Chapel of the Martin J. Banks Funeral Home and may be viewed from 8am until 6pm Friday.
Ms. Ellen Marie Forward was born June 14, 1965 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Teola and Cleo Forward. Ms. Ellen Forward resided in Flint and was a graduate of Central High School. She enjoyed fishing, go cart riding, and having fun with her children.Ms. Ellen Forward leaves to cherish: 4 children, Jamia and Cleo Murphy, Lamekia and Armani Moore; granddaughter, Serenity Allen all of Flint; sisters, Faye Gully, Cleo (James) Horne all of Flint, Loretta (Sheldon) Polk of Texas; brothers, Arthur (Vernita) Scott, Jerry Scott all of Flint; uncle, Bryant Scott of St. Louis; 9 nieces; 3 nephews; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including niece, Karen Horne and friend, Allicen Allen.
Ms. Ellen Forward was preceded in death by her parents, Teola and Cleo Forward; nephews, James Horne, Jr., Billy Gulley, Jr.; niece, Jackie Scott; brother-in-law, Billy Gully, Sr.; Betty McGuire, and Frank Scott.
The family would like to express special thanks to Cleo Horne for being at her side, truly you were her “Diamond in the Ruff” and thank you “Tot” for all your hard work, to Crestmont Nursing Care Center, Hurley Medical Center and staff, Dr. Skeeter D. Holmes and Reaching the World Ministries International Church family.
