STOLPIN, William R. Age 75, of Holly, Michigan. Died in his studio under hospice care, August 21st. He was born in Flint, Michigan, and attended Northern High School. He graduated from GMI in 1964 and retired from GM after 32 years. He was a member of the Flint Community Players for many years. He was a great supporter of the arts community in and around Flint. He was a founding member of DAS Print Company. He taught relief print making at the FIA for over 10 years. His art is in many collections around the world including the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, the DIA and the FIA. He was affectionately known at many comic conventions and the Michigan Renaissance Festival as The Dragon Guy.
He is survived by his wife Kathy, son James, daughter Krishna, his son-in-law Steve, brother Roger, and sister-in-law Gail.
He would never believe how many lives he’s touched, and he will be missed by each and every one of them.
