HILL, George Earl – of Clio, age 90, died Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. There will be no services in Michigan. Burial will take place Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery in Harrogate, Tennessee. Memorial contributions can be made to the VFW Post # 1452 Honor Guard in Clio, Michigan.
George was born September 29, 1929 in Harrogate, Tennessee to the late Earl and Irene (Sivils) Hill. He grew up in Harrogate, Tennessee and then went on to serve our country in the US Marine and the US Navy. On February 17, 1957 he married Evelyn Goers in Indiana and she preceded him in death in 1990. Prior to his retirement in 1997, George worked for RP Lewis as a truck driver with 20 years of service. He enjoyed reading, stock car races and history. George also loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving are: Children, Bill Hill, Cathy Hill, Glenn Hill; Grandchildren, Darrah (Jeremy) Heinold, Leah (Fred) DuMouchel, Tyler Renfroe; Great Grandchildren, Caden Heinold, Camry Heinold; Brother, Glenn Hill.
