COLON, Blanca Pol - Of Grand Blanc, age 108, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Wellbridge of Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held 4pm Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Daniel Ferraz officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flower, contributions may be made to Grand Blanc Seventh-day Adventist Building Fund.
Visitation 2pm Saturday, January 19, 2018 at the funeral home until the time of the service.
Blanca was born in Lares, Puerto Rico on February 8, 1910, the daughter of Adolfo Pol and Natividad (Colon). Blanca was a missionary, and Dean of nursing students at the Bella Vista Hospital in Puerto Rico.
Surviving are daughter, Maria Fernadez;
Son, Carlos (Jane) Quevedo;
Grandchildren, Jose Fernandez, David (Liesbeth) Fernandez, Miriam (Benedetto) Pellerito, Mildred (Brian) Hickman, Mike Quevedo and Daniel (Melissa) Quevedo;
10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great twin granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the excellent care from Reverence Hospice and Wellbridge of Grand Blanc.
