Dennis was born in Flint, Michigan on September 19, 1951, the son of the late LaVerne Krizaj and Francis King. He graduated from Atherton High School in 1969 and hired in to the “Old Foundry” that same year, later becoming a dedicated skilled trades millwright at GM/Buick and proud UAW Local #599 member; retiring in 2002.
Dennis and his wife of 49 years, Sue, were also the proud owners/operators of King’s Janitorial Service for many years. He enjoyed listening to oldies music, old cars, tinkering in his garage, auctioning, and spending time with his family.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Sue;
daughters, Michele (Tom) Bush, Heidi (Paul) Bigsby, Melissa (Tony) Daggett;
grandchildren, Alexis (Cody) Mongar, Ashley (Adam) Welch, Adison King, Alyssa Nickell, Autumn Nickell, Jordan Nickell, Joe Nickell, Amanda Nickell, Jacob Dennis Daggett, Baby “Bee”;

countless others, near and far, whose lives he touched.
Dennis was an amazingly strong and independent man and loving husband, dad and papa, who will never be forgotten. A great life well lived and a rest well earned; no words can express how much we already miss you.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Jones; in-laws, Mark and Nita Townsend; grandson, Jarrod Nickell; great-nephew, Avery Sheets; dear friends, Dave Schafer, Wayne and Yvette Pruder.
The family would like to thank the staff and doctors of Hurley Medical Center CCU for their care and compassion during his battle.
