SMITH, Barbara Jean (Wadsworth) – of Lapeer, age 86, passed away December 13, 2016 at the Pines of Lapeer. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, December 16, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8 PM Thursday and 10-11 AM Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice.
Barbara was born in Fenton, MI on July 3, 1930, daughter of the late William and Ethel (Beebe) Wadsworth. She was an LPN at McLaren – Flint, retiring in 1984 after 20 years of service.
Barbara is survived by her son, Dan (Debbie) Smith; daughter, Dawn (John) Turkovics; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Betty Cooper; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Smith; daughter, Melody Nelson and four brothers.
