JENNINGS, Darlene Esther “The Pond Lady” – of Burton, age 70, was taken to her Heavenly Home on December 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at her residence. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan in Darlene’s memory.
Darlene was born in Dryden Township, MI on July 17, 1948, daughter of Edwin W. and Esther (Papke) Faust of Lapeer. She graduated from Lapeer High School in 1966. Darlene was the founder of Mid Michigan Pond and Water Garden Club. She was an active member of the Flint Genesee County Sparks, Windmill Women’s Club and many other accomplishments too numerous to mention. Darlene was truly a strong, unique, vibrant and loving woman. She was loved by many!
Darlene was blessed and is survived by her husband, Jerry; two sons, James (Paulette Teno) and Christopher (Ashleigh Allen); granddaughter, Olivia whom she cherished deeply; two brothers, Edwin M. and Gerald Faust; sister Geraldine Carson; many nieces, nephews and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Earl and Gary; two sisters, Irene Judd and baby girl Faust.
