ARNOLD, Shirley A. –Of Burton, age 62, died Saturday, April 20, 2013 at her daughter's home in Midland.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Roy Horning officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 11a.m. -8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Shirley was born in Saginaw, Michigan on May 2, 1950 and was a resident of Burton most of her life.
She graduated from Bentley High School Class of 1968.
Shirley married William Arnold on June 22, 1968 in Flint and he preceded her in death on July 31, 2001.
Shirley retired from General Motors in 1998.
Surviving are daughter, Lori and husband Michael Briggs of Midland;
son, William "Eric" Arnold of Burton;
three grandchildren, Jacqueline Vallette of Saginaw,
Brandon Hampton of Burton and
Klaeton Briggs of Midland;
sisters and brothers, Bob (Mary) DuBuis,
Howard DuBuis,
Mary DuBuis and Pat Kelley,
Joanne DuBuis and
Ann Seaman;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Howard DuBuis and Lorraine Lowery.
