QUICK, E. Etta – of Davison, age 92, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Stonegate Health Campus of Lapeer. A Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Friday, June 7, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Pastor Jack Dowden officiating. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery in Bad Axe. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Etta was born in Bad Axe, MI on November 15, 1920, daughter of the late James and Jesse (Snodden) Noble. She married Kenneth Quick on January 8, 1944. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2008. Etta worked at McLaren Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 15 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for 55 years. Some of her hobbies included gardening, reading and sewing.
Etta is survived by daughter, Betty (Ken) Morse; grandchildren, Michelle Kroska, David (Becky) Morse, Amy (Shawn) Conley; 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marjorie Kroska; granddaughter, Monica Kroska; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
