Sue Ann Starnes
A selfless, loving, bright, joyful soul, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the age of 74.
A funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Cheaver officiating. Sue's final resting place will be at Millington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1pm until the time of service.
Sue was born April 17, 1950 in Flint, the daughter of John and Pearl (White) Keiser.
She graduated from Birch Run High School and attended the University of Michigan where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work.
Sue loved being a mom and grandma. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She looked forward to taking family trips and making memories with each of them. Sue had a passion for singing and attending Christian concerts. She will be missed for her smile and incredible heart of gold.
Sue worked in Child Protective Services for several years before retiring from The State of Michigan.
Sue is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Starnes; children, Angela (Bruce) Partridge, Jaime (Dale) Cole, and Jason Starnes; grandchildren, Mara, Ethan, Ryan, Kyle, Kaylee, Alex, Nick, and Jason; great-grandchildren, Kai, Lorenz, Caroline, and Amelia; several nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Pearl Keiser.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Carriage Town Ministries. |
