FRAPPIER, Dorothy E. – of Clio, age 86, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Cranberry Park – Memory Care of Clio. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. Please join the family in a celebration of Dorothy’s life at a luncheon to be held at 12PM Saturday, June 4, 2016 at New Covenant Free Methodist Church in Clio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Dorothy was born February 27, 1930 in Flint, Michigan to the late Lloyd and Elsie (Smith) Prestgard. She married Dale E. Frappier on August 6, 1950 in Clio. He preceded her in death August 3, 2011. Dorothy was a teacher at Carter Middle School in Clio for over 15 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Dorothy enjoyed scrapbooking, sewing, gardening and playing the piano.
Surviving are: Children: Darrell (Anne) Frappier of Florida, Denise Frappier of Clio, Deborah (Craig) Wernette of Clio, Dee Anne Nino de Rivera of San Luis Obispo, CA; 4 grandchildren: Curtis Wernette, Troy Nino de Rivera, Alexa Nino de Rivera and Mya Frappier; Sisters: Carol Childers and Doris (Larry) Paro. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Cranberry Park – Memory Care of Clio and Independence Village of Frankenmuth.
