MORGAN, Wallace Dale “Wally” - Of Flushing, formerly of Grand Blanc, age 83, was taken from us on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at his residence.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Monday, October 19, 2015 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road in Burton.

Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery with a military service under the auspices of the Marine Corps League Flint Detachment #155 Honor Guard.

Those desiring may make contributions to the Make A Wish Foundation and/or U of M Childrens Hospital.

Visitation 4-8pm Saturday and 1-8pm Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Scripture Service will be held 7pm Sunday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Monday at the church until the time of the Mass.

Mr. Morgan was born in Gibson County, Tennessee on June 14, 1932 to James and Willie (Crossnoe) Morgan. He was a resident of the Flint area, Flushing and Grand Blanc all of his life. He married Agnes Miarka on September 6, 1952 in Flint, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Air Force, as a Jet Aircraft Mechanic Instructor, during the Korean War. He was a very active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, where he served as a lead usher and Eucharistic Minister. He served as President of the local chapter of the American Institute of Banking, and Executive Councilman for District 10 of the American Institute of Banking and was also President of the Eastern Michigan Mortgage Bankers Association. Mr. Morgan served on the Board of Directors for the Flint Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, Friends of Sloan, the Flint Institute of Arts and also was a committee chairman for the Buick Open for 16 years. He was also a member of the Grand Blanc Planning Commission and a commercial real estate licensee. Mr. Morgan was employed by Genesee County Savings Bank for 2 years; Landmark Savings and Loan for 4 years; Michigan National Bank for 35 1/2 years, retiring in 1989. He then worked with Great Lakes Real Estate-Flint for 15 years, retiring in June 2004.

Surviving are wife, Faye;
Paul, Harry, Walt, Jack and Bill, whom he loved like brothers; and also he loved their spouses, Sandi, Jean, Rosa, Carolyn (deceased)and Phyllis; the son of a special friend Randy Swain and his family; Ernie and Colleen Lord; George Roberts and deceased wife Kay; Lee (deceased) and Betty Messenger; deceased husband Leo and Gloria Smith; and Pat and Zanita Arends.
step-children Scott and wife Julie Vickory and Janice and husband Matthew Henry;
grandchildren, Jake, Jacob, Katie, Nathan, Ezra and Sara;
special thoughts for Mark and Cheryl Lowrey and their daughters;
and a host of other close family and friends who were very special.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes, father, James, mother Willie and mother-in-law, Agnes C. Miarka.
