BRIDGETT, Robert L. – Of Swartz Creek, age 72, died Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at his residence with loving family present.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church, 12534 Holly Road, Grand Blanc, The Reverend Dr. Todd A. Biermann officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren or Faith Lutheran Church.
Visitation 12-8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mr. Bridgett will be at the church from 12 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service.
Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on June 10, 1946, the son of Orval and Sophie (nee Ignatowski) Bridgett.
On September 16, 1967 he married Brenda J. Cayson in Flint.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Mr. Bridgett was employed by GM for 42 years, retiring out of the Warren Tech Center in 2006.
He liked to fish, garden and care for his lawn. He was a devoted grandfather and family man.
Surviving are wife, Brenda;
daughter, Stacey (Philip) Sprick;
grandchildren, Nathan and Sophia Sprick;
brothers, Rick (Keitha) Bridgett and Rod Bridgett;
many nieces, nephews, cousins and caring neighbors, especially Little Charley.
