MURRAY (BROWN) - Ilma E.- Of Davison, age 88, died Friday, March 17, 2017 at Wellbridge of Fenton.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2017
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jack Dowden officiating.
Burial in Meadowview Memorial Gardens.
Those desiring may make contributions to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ilma was born in Herndon, West Virginia on September 8, 1928, one of 14 children of John and Georgie (Monk) Lusk, and was a resident of the Flint and Davison area most of her life.
She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she played the piano for services both at the church and several nursing homes. She was a great cook and baker, who was known for her Buckeyes and pumpkin rolls.
Surviving are her 5 children, Linda and husband Terry Bettinger of Clio, June "Gail" and husband George Ramsden of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, John "Barry" and wife Mary of Flint, Phillip "Mark" and wife Kim of Flint and Joel of Davison;
6 grandchildren, Holly, Candy, Jeremy, Cory, Parker and Ben;
7 great-grandchildren, Alanna, Chloe, Violet, Carter, Thomas, Christopher and Penelope;
1 great-great-grandson, Kayden;
sister, Melda and husband Jerald Bridges of Louisiana;
sister-in-law, Judy Lusk of Burton;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James "Bud" Brown; second husband, Leo Murray; her parents; brothers, Aven, Amos "Buzz," Burless, Harold, Mason, Morris and Harry; sisters, Nola, Hester, Leburn "Till," Garnet and Geva.
