KEELIN, Philip M. “Phil” – of Davison, age 75, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Charter Senior Living of Davison. A Funeral Service will be held 11AM Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Dave Shurtz officiating. Interment will take place following the service in Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 4-7PM Tuesday and the hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, in Philip’s memory.
Phil Keelin was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 16, 1949, to the late Harold and Lydia (Crisp) Keelin. On August 7, 1971, he married Sandra “Sandy” Keelin, who sadly passed away on October 3, 2023. Phil was a graduate of Troy High School, where he excelled in football, basketball, and track. Throughout his life, he worked as a dedicated carpenter and enjoyed bowling.
Phil cherished spending time outdoors, especially in the company of Sandy and their friends and family. They created countless cherished memories with Diane, John, Rick, and Cheryle. Phil was also a passionate supporter of Davison football, finding joy in cheering them on. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and watching their sporting events and school activities.
Phil is survived by his loving children, Tate (Deborah) Keelin and Angy Keelin; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brendan, Layla, Destiny, Payton and Averey; siblings, Linda Marceau, Diane (John) Majestic, Dave (Adrienne) Keelin, Marty Pyott; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Ciesliga; brother, Kenny Keelin.
