SOUTHERLAND, Pamela – Of Flint, age 43, died Monday, April 16, 2012 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Hopewell Baptist Church, 5162 North Belsay Road, Flint, Dr. LeRoy Jolly officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. -2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Pamela will be at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. Pamela was born in Flint, Michigan on July 31, 1968. She graduated from Kearsley High School. On November 17, 1990 she married Scott Southerland. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Pam worked as a nurse with AdvisaCare for 3 years. Prior to that she was a cosmetologist, most recently at Kearsley Daily Villa.
Surviving are husband, Pastor Scott Southerland; sons, Austin and Cody; daughter, Shelby; parents, James and Karen Netterfield of Flint; sister, Tami and husband Luke Prost of Flint; brother, Jimmy and wife Janice Netterfield of Minnesota; nieces and nephews.
