GILL, Gwendolyn “Gwen”– of Davison, age 92, passed away on March 20, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Matt Thorpe officiating. Interment will take place following the Service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4-7 PM on Monday, March 24, 2025 at the funeral home and again on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Church in honor of Gwen.
Gwen was born in Flint, Michigan on November 16, 1932, daughter of the late Harold and Leila (Wilbur) Reed. She married Neil Gill on March 10, 1951 and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2024. A devoted nurse, she worked alongside Dr. Hackley for over 30 years until her retirement in 1995. She dedicated several years to serving at Red Cross blood drives at Emmanuel Church, where Gwen also found joy in teaching Sunday school, sharing her faith and wisdom with young hearts. Gwen had a passion for baking and was lovingly known as the "Sticky Bun Lady". She loved playing card games and solving puzzles, always bringing laughter to the table. Winters in Florida were a cherished tradition, as were the many memorable trips she took with family and friends. Gwen's warmth, generosity, and smile made everyone feel special.
Gwen is survived by her children: Rick Gill, Trudy (Don) Clark, Randy (Terri) Gill and Linda Gordon; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; stepsister, Mary Phillips; her beloved dog, Emmi; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (the late Enid) Reed; daughter-in-law, Holly Gill and son-in-law, Gary Gordon.
