BRANOFF, Thomas W. “Tommy B.” – Of Grand Blanc, age 85, died Sunday, August 11, 2019 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 11am Friday, August 16, 2019 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 S. Center Road, Burton,
Father Matthew-Peter Butrie officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
Visitation 3-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Parastas Service will be held 7pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Friday at church until the time of the service.
Thomas was born in Bouf, Macedonia on February 18, 1934, the son of the late Velian and Dosta Branoff. Thomas served his country in the United States Army. He was one of the former owners of Angelo’s Coney Island. Thomas was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Flint Golf Club, U of M Victors Club. Thomas enjoyed Sunday morning coffee with the guys and loved his time with his “Toss Up Buddies” at the Flint Golf Club along with the Breakfast Club of Valley Coney Island, and the Hillstreet Gang. He also loved socializing with an array of friends. He was a long-time season ticket holder of University of Michigan Football.
Surviving are daughter, Linda of Flint;
Son, Peter and wife Marilyn of Burton;
Many special nieces, nephews, cousins, God-Children and great God-Children;
And a host of special friends.
Tom enjoyed life to the fullest and touched many lives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella; parents, Velian and Dosta Branoff; brother, Angelo and sister, Pauline.
