JORDAN, Pauline V. – of Clio, age 86, died Monday, June 10, 2024 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Holly, Michigan. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Faith Missionary Church in Flint, Michigan, with Pastor Brent Kriesch officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Faith Missionary Church and from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Carriage Town Mission.
Pauline was born on December 27, 1937 in Flint, Michigan, to the late Marion and Elvie (Brewer) Jordan. She grew up in Beecher and graduated from Beecher High School with the class of 1956. Pauline went on to Hurley School of Nursing and graduated in 1959. She worked as an RN at Hurley and Flint Osteopathic Hospitals, and went on to teach nursing at Mott Community College for 26 years. Pauline was a lifelong Christian, and a member of Faith Missionary Church. Her faith in her Lord was the most important part of her life. She enjoyed reading, painting and tending to her flowers. The most precious times of her life were spent in the company of her family, and her loving presence will always be remembered and cherished.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Terrie (Kelly) Hengy; granddaughter, Amanda (Fr. Esteban) Vazquez; great-grandsons, Sebastian Vazquez and Benjamin Vazquez; brother, Rev. Jim (Lois) Jordan; expanded family, Debbie (Steve) Wilson and Dan (Laura) Merrill; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Elvie (Brewer) Jordan; siblings: Helen Gunther, Rev. Clifford Jordan, and Bettyann Dillon; and beloved companion, Norman Merrill.
