HERRIMAN, Elwood “Woody” – of Davison, formerly of Tawas, age 83, passed away, June 30, 2017 at McLaren – Lapeer. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Raymond Herriman, his nephew officiating. Visitation will be 12-2 PM Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
Woody was born in Tawas City, MI on April 13, 1934, son of the late Earl and Loretta (Mills) Herriman. He married Margaret Whiteford on July 31, 1954. Woody retired from Buick in 1995 after 30 years of service and was a member of the UAW Local 599. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and spending time working on his lawn. Woody especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Woody is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret; sons, Craig (Mary Lou), Rod (Mona) and Kirk; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by nine siblings.
