LAWSON, Rodney Dean – of Mt. Morris, age 64, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 26, 2018 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Elder David Hager officiating. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 4-8 PM and on Friday from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Rodney was born August 13, 1954 in Flint, Michigan to the late Paul and Ruth (Frye) Lawson. He grew up in Mt. Morris and has lived there his entire life. Rodney attended Beecher High School. On June 27, 1981 he married Sandra Abram in Flint, Michigan. He served his country in the US Marines. Rodney worked for Lawncare Etc. LLC for the past few years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Surviving are: Wife, Sandra; Children, Lisa (Bo) Richardson, Nancy (Joe) Lafayette, Jerry Baker; Grandchildren, Chris Richardson, Shayla Swales, Tyler Lafayette, Alexis Lafayette, Justin Baker, Becca Goodman; Great Grandchildren, Kenzley, Sterling, Teagan; Sister, Bonnie (Sam) Youhanna; Great Friend, Theodore Wiley, and several nieces and nephews.
