BLOSS, Marion J. – of Clio, age 98 went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at home, with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Mt. Morris Church of Christ, 1262 South St. Mt. Morris. Pastor Jim Watson officiating. Burial at Thetford Twp. Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 4-8 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Due to Covid 19 and government regulations mask must be worn and please practice social distancing. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Marion was born March 18, 1922 in Flint, Michigan to the late Leo and Johanna (Wenzel) McCrossen. She grew up most of her life in Clio and that is where she also attended school. On November 17, 1939 she married Franklin Robert Bloss in Clio, he preceded her in death on December 16, 2010. She and her husband Franklin owned and operated Bloss Hardware in Clio for 42 years, she retired from working at the age of 82. She was a member of the Mt. Morris Church of Christ and the Mid Michigan Antique Association. In her free time Marion loved knitting, sewing, baking along with arts and crafts. She enjoyed making things for her family, having crocheted various items with the Lord’s Prayer and 23rd Psalms.
Surviving are: 5 children, Jeannette (Bob) Laugavitz, Sharon Craglow, Dean (Helen) Bloss, Barbara (Jim) Shoens and Kevin (Beverly) Bloss; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Newberry; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Dan (Kim) Byrant and Bob (Jennifer) Kenney.
