Leo T. Debien, age 91, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 in Spring Lake, Michigan. He was born on January 5, 1927 to parents Fred and Velma (Bartley) Debien in Croswell, Michigan. Leo proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church for 50 years, and also held membership in the K of C and American Legion. Leo was an avid sportsman and he loved the game of golf. He was a good man. Leo is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Debien; children: Timothy Debien, Maureen Debien, and Paul (Kathy) Debien; grandchildren: Sydney (Patrick), Tanner, Sarah, Spenser, and Bradley; sister, Theresa Brown; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; son, Thomas Debien; brothers: Leon and Robert. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Monsignor Jerry Vincke celebrating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 5-8pm with a Rosary Service at 7pm at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. The family will receive visitors at church, prior to mass, beginning at 10:00am. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North Ottawa Hospice. |
