Bigelow, William of Grand Blanc, formerly of Flushing, age 69, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Ronald Nelson will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral services. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service.
William was born in Flint, Michigan on March 18, 1947, the son of Rodrick and Dorothy (Stephens) Bigelow. Bill attended St. Robert Catholic School and graduated from St. John Vianney Catholic High School. He worked at Fisher Body and later at Flint Truck and Bus for over 30 years. Bill enjoyed going to casinos and had a special knack for slot machines. He was an avid Tigers fan and loved vacationing in Tawas. His greatest joy was his grandson.
Bill is survived by his children, Van and wife Paula Bigelow of Flushing, Holli Taylor of Burton; grandson, Thomas James Taylor; former spouse, Donna Kohout; aunt, Beth Rayburn; nephews, Brad Bigelow, Billy McKee; and niece, Lori McKee. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Bigelow; brother, Jim Bigelow; and nephew, Brian Bigelow.
