SHEWALTER, Howard Allyn – of Davison, age 81, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Brian’s House Hospice. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, August 24, 2012 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Rev. Barbara Benjamin officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until the time of the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richfield United Methodist Church.
Howard was born in Buffalo, NY on September 1, 1930, son of the late Gale and Rena (Dye) Shewalter. He married Irene Virginia Billings at North End Baptist Church in June of 1979. Howard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a skilled trades electrician at General Motors for 30 years. Howard was a member of Richfield United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and gardening.
Howard is survived by wife, Irene; step-daughters, Glenna (Bob), Pam (Todd), Janice (Dan); son, Nick (Nellie); sister, Shirley (Jerry); nieces and nephews, Ruth, Mark, Dan and Tim; cousin, Bud (Shirley); also survived by many grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
