DUTRO, Robert Glenn, age 87, of Flint, passed July 15, 2019 at The Pines of Burton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 19 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 5005 McCandlish Rd, Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Pastor Dennis Himm will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Private burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions in Bob's name to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church or the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. Bob was born October 17, 1931 in Flint, the son of Clarence and Leona (Stoneburner) Dutro. He graduated from Flint Central High School. After high school Bob received his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from GMI and then, his Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan. Bob worked for AC Spark Plug and EDS for 40 years. He was united in marriage to Lynne Burnette on November 22, 2008 in Grand Blanc. Bob enjoyed many religious activities at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, music was a big part of his life. He was a member of the Great Lakes Naval Choir, GM Choir, Flint Festival Choirs and many Church Choirs. In his free time, Bob enjoyed golfing and his interest in the stock market. He is survived by wife: Lynne Dutro of Flint; two children: Ronald (Debra) Dutro of Flint, Marcia (Jim) Doyle of Oxford; three grandchildren: Eric Dutro, Tim Dutro, Carli Doyle; one sister: Marion Kincaid of Grand Blanc. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife: Margie Dutro of 40 years; and his parents. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
