ANDERSON, Elaine L. (Mehigh) - Of Flint, died Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Genesys Hospice Care Center.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 am Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth Avenue, Flint, Father Robert F. Copeland officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 4-8pm Monday and 11am-3pm and 5-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home. A Rosary will be prayed 6pm Tuesday evening at the at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Elaine will be at the church 10:30am Wednesday until the time of the Mass.
Elaine was born in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Lee and Frances Mehigh.
Elaine married William J. Anderson on October 23, 1948 and he preceded her in death in January 18, 2007. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was the Insurance Manager for Stubbs & Christenson until her retirement. Elaine was very talented with crafts and attended many craft shows. Elaine and her husband, Bill, owned and operated the Petunia Patch.
Surviving are son, William and wife Melanie Anderson;
daughter-in-law, Yvonne Anderson of Clayton Township;
precious grandchildren, Tanya and husband Mike Boucher of Boston, Keegan Anderson of Shreveport, Louisiana, Brandon Anderson of Owosso and Jason Anderson of Chicago;
2 great-grandchildren, Matthew and Elizabeth Boucher of Boston;
brothers, Dick and wife Maryann Mehigh and Ray and wife Sandy Mehigh and her beloved cat, Sammy;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill, beloved son Tim, sisters, Margaret and Gloria, brothers Don and Gene.
