Shirley Ann Cohoon, age 82 of Frankenmuth, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017. She was born on February 17, 1935 in Flint to parents Virgil and Goldie (Deshaw) Rentschler. Shirley was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Frankenmuth. She is survived by her children: Diane (Dennis) Hopwood and Scott (Amanda) Cohoon; daughter-in-law, Amy Cohoon; grandchildren: Lauren Golembiewski, Josh (Casey) Hopwood, John (Nicole) Cohoon, Alex Cohoon; great grandson, Craig Cohoon; brother, Gerald (Joyce) Rentschler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elliott Cohoon; son, Craig Cohoon; granddaughter, Madison Cohoon; brother, Virgil (Joyce) Rentschler. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St., Frankenmuth, MI 48734, Father Robert Byrne celebrating. The family will receive visitors one half hour prior to Mass, beginning at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. |
