LEMELIN, Perry L. – Of Flint, age 76, went to be with the Lord, peacefully on Friday, May 25, 2018 at her residence.
Perry was born in Flint, Michigan on March 25, 1942, the daughter of Walter and Helen (Atwood) Love. She grew up in Flint and upon returning stayed very active in her community.
After graduating from Kingswood School she went to college in Hartford, CT, where she met the love of her life, Joseph Lemelin.
On July 25, 1963 she married Joseph Lemelin in Hartford, CT.
She was a loving mother, educator, sound board and always full of love and advice. With her husband, she raised two boys.
She loved her family and friends.
Perry was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, bragged about being a member of Mensa. She sat on the Board of the McFarlen Home.
She was an incredibly devout follower of Jesus Christ and loved her Tuesday night Bible study.
She will be terribly missed and will always be smiling down on us.
Surviving are husband, Joseph;
children, Whitney and wife Sarah Lemelin of Ferndale, MI,
Peter and wife Danielle Lemelin of Swartz Creek;
6 grandchildren, Joseph, John and Eleanor, Charlotte, Grace and Simon;
brother, John and wife Suzy Love of Colorado;
nieces and nephews, Christopher Love, Ryann Dowling, Dana Love and Taylor Love.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home 1225, West Hill Road, The Reverend Donald Davidson officiating.
She will be laid to rest at Glenwood Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Visitation 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
