Virginia was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 25, 1921, the daughter of Norbert and Gladys Rennicke. On August 28, 1943, she married Robert S. Landaal in Webster Grove, Missouri. Virginia as a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Flint, MI, St. John Vianney Catholic Church in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida. She was also a longtime member of Flint Golf Club, Pass-A-Grille Yacht Club and Otsego Ski Club in Gaylord, Michigan. Virginia donated her time and treasure to many community non-profits. Virginia's lifework was raising a family and improving the quality of life in the Flint community. Surviving are her son, Stephen S. (Kimberly)Landaal; 7 grandchildren, Robert B. (Christine) Landaal, Katherine (Brock) Place, Matthew (Keely) Landaal, Mark (Meredith) Landaal, Stephen M. (Janine) Landaal, Jason (Jennifer) Landaal and Michelle Landaal;14 great-randchildren; 4 nieces and 2 nephews; sister, Barbara Smart; daughters-in-law, Jane Landaal and Renee Landaal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Landaal; daughter, Barbara (Troy) Terry; sons, Robert R. (Jane) Landaal and Thomas (Renee) Landaal. | 12-3 P.M. and 5-8 P.M. Monday at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Scripture Service will be held at 7 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Landaal will be at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the tome of the Mass on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church, Witness of Hope Campaign. |
