BILL BRIGGS, age 66 of Roscommon, formerly of Otter Lake and Otisville, died Friday, August 28, 2015 at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at 5PM on September 2, 2015 at the Forest Twp. Hall in Otisville. Bill was born in Flint on February 22, 1949 to Warren and Betty Briggs. He graduated from Flint Northwestern High School in 1967 and served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from Buick Motor after 30years and was a barber in Otisville for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 64 in Flint and the Moose Lodge 1162 in Grayling. He is also an Otisville Hotel Alumni. Bill is survived by his wife, Peggy Briggs; children: Kari Briggs and Kristen (Dolan) Schroyer; step-sons: Dustin (Mary) Ladd and Robert Ladd; grandchildren: Katelyn, Jacob, Peyton, Preston, Broke and Hanna; siblings: Frank (Jeanne) Briggs, Clair Johnson and Mary Jo (Mark) Mathews; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Terry Sue Briggs; and brother-in-law, Tim Johnson. |
