John Taylor Peterman – age 77, passed away on July 27, 2019. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 4pm-8pm at Hill Funeral Home- 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 11am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Kirkridge Presbyterian Church – 8070 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Rev. Glenn Grant will officiate. Interment will be on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Michigan. John was born on October 26, 1941 in Flint, Michigan to the late Alex and A.H. Louise Peterman. John proudly served his country in the Air Force during Vietnam War. In 1968, he married the love of his life Janet Nelsey in Waterford, Michigan. He was a supervisor at AC Spark Plug for over 32 years, remodeled houses and was a landlord in Grand Blanc for 30 years. He served on the board for Downtown Development for ten years and was an avid gardener. John was a wonderful man and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Janet Peterman; daughters, Audra (Stacy) Smith, Colleen Peterman-Burnham; 6 grandsons; sister, Loralee Henderson; and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Debus and brother, Alex Peterman. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Kirkridge Presbyterian Church in memory of John. |
