Debra Ann DeBeck (Helzer), 64, passed away peacefully in her home in Largo, FL on October 3rd.
Debra was born in Flint, MI on June 19th 1956 to Henry and Louis (Alexander) Helzer. She
worked for GM for 13 years and in that time married Kermit DeBeck and had 2 daughters,
Ashley and Carley. Her and Kermit moved the family to Houghton Lake where she worked for Denton Township for 22 years before retiring in 2018. After retiring she moved to Largo, Florida where she could enjoy rum runners and never have to see snow again. She loved her family deeply and her granddaughter was her world.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years Kermit DeBeck. Her mother and father as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her daughters Ashley (Matt) Klank of Clearwater, FL and her daughter Carley DeBeck of Wixom, MI. Her beloved granddaughter Lena Ciaramitaro. Her sister Judith Sheick of Houghton Lake and brother Jim (Linda) Helzer of Flint, MI. Sisters-in-law Florence Owens of Flint, MI and Judith Groleau of Traverse City and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a celebration of life held in Houghton Lake, MI on June 19th 2021 with more
details to follow at a later date. |
