JOHNSON (BRYANTON), Barbara Jean – Of Flint, age 79, died Saturday, May 26,2018 at Caretel Inns of Linden.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 11110 North Saginaw Street, Mt. Morris, Father Roy Horning officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Kidney Foundation.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Johnson will be at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the Mass.
Barbara was born in Lansing, Michigan on October 27, 1938, the daughter of Horace E. (Ted)and Irene A. (Celentino) Bryanton.
One June 10, 1961 she married Robert at St. Therese in Lansing, Michigan.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, Flushing Moose Lodge-WOTM and was a volunteer at Gustin Elementary School.
Family was important to her.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are husband, Robert C. Johnson;
3 children, Ted (Lynette) Johnson, Tamura (James) Schiefer and Robert (Wendy) Johnson II;
sister, Nancy DeYoung;
brother-in-law, Phillip Johnson;
8 grandchildren, Jessica Schiefer, Joshua (Melissa) Schiefer, Julia Johnson, Jenna Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Bradley Johnson, Blake Johnson and Robert Johnson III;
5 special (foreign exchange) grandchildren, Surisa (OM) Charnpraphat (Thailand), Alessandra Menaglio (Italy), Lorenzo Facinelli (Italy), Carole Gygi (Switzerland) and Cecilia Bonari (Italy);
nieces, cousins, many family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace (Ted) and Irene Bryanton.
