Nancy Lee Bellville, age 77, of Prescott, MI, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit with her family at her side. She was well cared for by the staff at the hospital and the family thanks them for their compassion. She was born on July 20, 1947, in Chicago, IL to Ernest & Ila Mae (Condon) Tripp. The family moved to the Prescott area in 1952. Nancy grew up and has lived on the family farm for most of her life. Nancy graduated with honors from Whittemore-Prescott High School in 1965. On October 9, 1965, she married Brian Bellville at the Prescott Methodist Church. She was a member of that church until she transferred her membership to the Whittemore Methodist Church in 1977 where she held many offices on various boards. She was involved with the Ogemaw and Iosco County Fairs, Farm Bureau, D.H.I.A. She liked watching the Tigers, Lions, MSU, she enjoyed watching the Food Network. She liked reading, flower gardening, camping at Sault Ste. Marie, and driving her tractor across the Mackinaw Bridge. She doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was happiest when they went on their trips to Hawaii and Alaska. The saddest was when she watched her cattle die from electrical problems for which she wrote a book.
Nancy is survived by her husband of nearly 59 years, Brian Bellville, children, Dawn (Richard) Myers, Lori (Brian) Dunch, Andrea (Jason) Tighe, Kevin (Viena Mejia) Bellville, Kay (Zeke) Kinkaid; grandchildren, Alisha (Matt) Gibson, Scott (Tiffanie) Myers, Todd (Madison) Myers, Jason (Sydney) Myers, Elisabeth Dunch, Catherine Dunch, Margaret Dunch, Henry Tighe, Caroline Tighe, Natalie Tighe, Hudson Bellville, Jordan Bellville, Sienna Bellville, Andrew Kinkaid, Alexander Kinkaid; great grandchildren, Caleb, Brooklyn Gibson and Walker Myers; sister Susan (Bob) Furney; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will place on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 4-8 PM at the Buresh Funeral Home, 101 E. Harrison in Prescott and on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 10 until 11 AM at the time of the service at the Whittemore Methodist Church 110 North Street, Whittemore, MI with Pastor Gary Gillings officiating. Interment will follow in the Richland Township Cemetery in Prescott. Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s name to the Ogemaw County Fair, the Whittemore-Prescott Education Foundation P.O.
