Callan, Patricia J. – of Clio, age 86, died Saturday, October 12, 2019, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio. Vicar Andrew Zobel officiating. Burial in Jerome Cemetery - Sanford, Michigan. The family will receive visitors at the church on Wednesday from 11AM until 6PM and on Thursday from 10AM until time of service at 11AM.
Patricia was born September 9, 1933, in Lansing, Michigan to the late Gilbert and Marjorie Shilson. She attended MSU and completed her major course in English. Pat was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio. She worked for the Michigan Department of Education and was active in serving the local communities in which she lived. She enjoyed rooting for the MSU football team, swimming, boating and sunning with her friends and neighbors. Pat belonged to card clubs and was always knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitching and Swedish weaving. Most of all, Pat enjoyed spending time with her family. They were all very precious to her. Pat met the love of her life when she met and married Paul Callan in May of 1987. He preceded her in death in 2004.
Surviving are: children: Audra Toth, John and beloved daughter in law, Sandy Toth, Ronald (Marlene) Toth, Mary Anne Toth, Jill (John) Rzecpke, Paul (Dawn) Toth; Her beloved niece Julie (Rick) Whittingham; Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Jenna (Jamie) Morrison, Michelle (Brian) Showers, and Laura Stewart. She became the proud step-mother of Paula and Mike Boots, Jeannie Woods, Carol Callan, and Wendy Callan. Also step-grandson, Michael (Crystal) Boots and step-great-grandsons: Hudson and Callan Boots. Pat was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary (Shilson) Dibble, granddaughter, Kristina Toth and step-granddaughter, Michelle Boots – all of who she dearly missed.
