MARCY, Roland J. - Of Grand Blanc, age 87, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Chaplain Eric Carlson officiating.
Contributions may be directed to Hospice Medical Team.
Visitation 2-4pm and 6-8pm Friday and 12 Noon Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Roland was born in Syracuse, New York on April 26, 1929, son of the late Alfred and Dorothy Marcy and was a resident of Grand Blanc most of his life. Roland served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He graduated from GMI and was employed with General Motors for 34 years and retired from Grand Blanc Metal Fab. Roland was a volunteer Fireman for Grand Blanc Fire Department for 25 years. He was P.E.R. Elks BPOE 222 and a member of the Grand Blanc American Legion.
Surviving are wife Darlene;
Children, Jim (Michele), Bruce (Terry), Mark, Paul, Beth (Matt) DeNicolo, Brian (Sheila) Petty, Carla Sanford and Jana Petty;
18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren;
Brothers, Al, Larry and Gene (Marilyn).
