PHILLIPS, Lois A. of Flint, formerly of Flushing, died Saturday, August 31, 2019 at her cottage in Oscoda. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Rossell Funeral Home. Rev. Bart Muller to officiate. Burial to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Tuesday, September 3 and 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Iosco County Animal Shelter or to a charity of your choice.
Lois was born in Harbor Beach, Michigan on July 5, 1930 to Louis and Lenora (Pagels) Krause. She married Howard Phillips on June 5, 1954. Lois earned her Life Master title in the game of Bridge, which she loved to play. She was a part of the Hurley Hospital Auxillary for over 50 years and was active in both of her churches, Trinity Lutheran Church in Oscoda and King of Glory Lutheran Church in Flushing. Lois loved spending her summers at her cottage in Oscoda.
Lois is survived by her children, Steven (Teresa) Phillips, Scott Phillips, and Sharon Phillips; grandchildren, Alix (Kevin) Hayward, Nicole (Aaron) Metz, and Alyssa Phillips; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; grandson, Andrew Phillips; and six siblings. |
