Joseph Hugh Perakovic, age 66 of Lake Milton, OH, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017. He was born in Flint on March 11, 1951 to parents Anthony and Essie (McLean) Perakovic. Joe retired from GM after 39 ½ years of service. He enjoyed collecting cars, riding his motorcycle, and taking trips to the casino. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Joe knew he was a selfless man, he put others needs and wishes ahead of his own. Joe will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Essie Perakovic; siblings: Judy Hill, Anthony (Linda) Perakovic, Jr., and Dorothy Silvis; several nieces, and nephews; and many friends in Ohio and Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Perakovic, Sr.; siblings: Thomas Kelly Armstrong, Clara Jane Armstrong, Michael Stephen Perakovic; brothers-in-law: Richard Lee Lorts, Albert Leon Silvis; nephew, Gordon Hill; very close friend, Julie. A memorial service honoring Joe and his brother Mike will be held at 3pm on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2pm.
