Rummel, Ronald P. 6/5/1956 - 4/30/2018 Holly, MI Ronald P. Rummel, age 61 of Holly, formerly of Saginaw and Fenton, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on April 30, 2018.
He was born June 5, 1956 in Saginaw to the late Arnie and Elaine (Nelson) Rummel and graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw and Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. He loved his days on the gridiron, and was proud to be part of the 1973 Arthur Hill State Championship Team which was undefeated and unscored-upon, and then the 1974 CMU National Championship Football Team.
Ron lived his life and loved his family beyond measure. His wife and three daughters were his world! He followed the golden rule of treating others the way they would want to be treated. Ron touched so many with his smile, his laugh and a joke.
He loved the Lord and always had a kind word for others. Ron made everyone feel special and would light up the room when he entered it. He truly was one of a kind.
He and the former Alison Burak were married for 29 years and have three beautiful daughters, Chelsea, Kaja and Hannah. Ron loved his brother, Rick (Nancy) Rummel, and sister, Nancy (Jim) Jones. His nieces and nephews and other relatives always made him smile.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 pm and 6 to 8 pm on Friday, May 4 at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 14176 N. Fenton Road, Fenton.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday, May 5 at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, with viewing at 10 am. Memorials may be made to the church. |
