SIPPERT, Olga - Age 87, of Flushing, died Thursday, June 21, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Elms Road Church of God, 2393 S. Elms Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor David Goertzen officiating. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Tuesday from 4-8 PM and at church Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Olga was born October 1, 1930 in Poland, the daughter of Gottlieb and Rosamunde (Jabs) Hembruch. She married Erich Sippert on July 15, 1951 in Canada, and he preceded her in death February 22, 2016. She gave her life to Jesus Christ in May of 1948 at a church revival in Germany. She faithfully served the Lord, and was a member of Elms Road Church of God. She enjoyed providing for her family by knitting, crocheting, sewing, cooking, and baking. Olga loved her grandchildren and prayed for them daily.
Surviving are: her sons, Harold, Norbert "Norm" (Nancy), and George (Karin) all of Flushing; grandchildren, Eric (Emily) Sippert, Lauren (Curtis) Clark, and Nicole and Michael Sippert; brother, Arthur (Elizabeth) Hembrook of Ohio; sisters-in-law, Elsie Hembruch of Canada and Mollie Hembruch of Flint; and several nieces and nephew.
She was also preceded in death by her infant son; her parents; sister, Wanda Schuler; and brothers, Wilhelm, Gerhard, and Gustav.
