FOWLER, John G., Jr. – age 78, of Kings Point, FL, formerly of Garden City, MI, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Interment in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5-8 PM Wednesday, September 4, 2019 and 10-11 AM Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Cancer Society, in John’s memory.
John was born in Flint, MI on January 6, 1941, son of the late John Granville Fowler, Sr. and Doris Jean (Harrison) Fowler. He was a graduate of Dearborn High School Class of 1960. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1962-1966 where he was stationed on the USS Orion submarine tender as an Electrician’s Mate First Class. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, John worked as a machinist with his father at Webb Collett. John then built Orion Tool from the ground up. In retirement, John enjoyed making and selling Shaker style furniture as well as traveling the U.S. with his “Lady Patricia”.
John is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Morrissett) Fowler; 2 children, Jenniffer (Michael) Neault and John G. (Patricia) Fowler, III; 2 grandchildren, Niki and Vero Fowler; sister, Carol (Jim) Boston; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Fowler.
