Carl Daniel Hunt, 70 of Fostoria, (formerly of Attica) died Friday October 4, 2013. Born November 5, 1942, in Davison, Michigan to Philip I. and Susie P. (Winer) Hunt. Carl graduated from Lapeer High School, class of 1961. He married Judy E. Traver on June 29, 1963 in Columbiaville. Carl was a metal press operator at Pontiac Motors, retiring in 1991 after 30 years of service. He was an avid horseman and horse enthusiast. He loved camping and trail riding. Carl was a member of Country Christian Church. Carl is survived by his wife, Judy Hunt of Fostoria; children: Carl (Ute) Hunt of Columbiaville and Robin Sawatzke of Fostoria (formerly of Lapeer); grandchildren: Nadine Zemanek, Jeremy Sawatzke and Justin Sawatzke; siblings: Marion Hunt of Florida, Paul (Marsha) Hunt of Ohio, Sue (Gary) Hampton of North Branch and Phillip Hunt of Columbiaville. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Neil and Edgar Hunt and his parents. Visitation will be from 1-8PM Sunday October 6, 2013 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Carl’s funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Monday October 7, 2013 at the Country Christian Church, Pastor Rick Yarbrough officiating. Burial will be in the Deerfield Township Cemetery.
