JAMES, Thomas Norman, age 72, of Linden, passed away February 24, 2020. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 28, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden with Pastor Dawn Russell officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Tom was born February 22, 1948 in Flint, the son of William John and Opal Mae (McCormick) James. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. He married Priscilla Lamb on July 1, 1978. Tom retired from General Motors following 30 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. Tom loved people and never met a stranger. He was a caring and loving man, who always had a smile on his face, and who will be greatly missed. He was the best Papa in the world. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Priscilla; two daughters, Sarah James and Andrea (Tom) Appleton; three grandchildren, Caden, Luke, and Evan; sister, Francis (T.R.) Middleton; several nieces and nephews; best friends, Danny Oles and Tom "TW" Wallace. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Richard James.
