Suzanne Trnka, a dedicated mother, amazing grandmother, family leader, best cookie maker and most giving person, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. We invite you to join us and celebrate her life. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2016, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Gordon Reigle will officiate. Burial will follow at Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday at Rossell Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
Suzanne received a call of sorts, an offer that she couldn't say “no” to, although she will not be returning to us, she will have a very happy reunion with friends and family she has not seen in a very long time, including her parents, Herman and Mary Ruff; her sister, Kathleen; and her little brother, Ricky. She often spoke about this wonderful place where she would end up with her Creator and where laughter and love were guaranteed.
There is one word that best describes Suzanne Trnka: FAMILY. She lived for holidays or any event that brought her family together. She gave and gave to the family and never once asked for anything in return. Suzanne's spirit lives on in the family she loved so dearly. She leaves behind her husband, Ross Trnka. Suzanne and Ross Trnka would have been married 53 years this summer, and after all those years, you could still see how much Ross loved her just by the way he looked at her. She always put the needs of her 4 children above her own and no words can explain how much she will be missed by: Jeanette Trnka (Tom Monk), Matt Trnka, Clayton Trnka (Wendi Corelli) and Chad Trnka (Christa Trnka). If there is one thing Suzanne lived for, it was her grandsons: Spenser, Ashton and Cohen Trnka. They will miss seeing their grandma in the stands cheering them on, the cookies that got delivered to the house on special occasions and the way she always thought the three of them were pretty much perfect.
Suzanne kept her family and their traditions alive. She had an unspeakable bond with her siblings: Peggy Polasek (Frank Polasek), John Ruff, Paula Numerich and Trudy Ruff. These five were far more than siblings, they were the best of friends.
Suzanne had a huge heart and a large part of it was filled with some very special people. Take her niece, Charron Brown, who was more like a daughter to her than a niece. She loved and adored Charron's three children: Symone Porter, Seth Robbins and Savanna Robbins. Symone has two beautiful girls, Esmay and Emerson Porter that Suzanne not only loved but anytime she talked about them she lit up. Justin and Don Goodwin to outsiders would appear to be family friends, but to Suzanne they were nothing but family. |
